Keynote Speech by Mr. Max Baucus, Former U.S. Ambassador to China

    The guest speaker, Mr. Max Baucus, opened his devotion to his life-long public service dedication, and especially thanked the New York Youth Enterprise Furniture Club and the International Leaders Foundation for their outstanding contributions in the field of public services. He stated that during his time as the US ambassador to China, he particularly appreciated two aspects of Chinese culture: first, the Chinese people's vitality, and second, China's unique leadership. There are many differences between American and Chinese leadership styles. China's leadership style is more patient, emphasizing the overall situation and attaching importance to long-term interests. Mr. Baucus believes that the United States must recognize and respect the differences between China and the United States and treat them with tolerance, development and cooperation.

    At the subsequent dinner, the International Leaders Foundation held a grand inauguration ceremony and award ceremony for the consultants.
